Department Action

The Cambridge Companies are in the process of developing a large tract of land situated between the Dallas North Tollway (DNT) and future Legacy Drive, located along the Denton-Collin County line. This development, known as Cambridge Crossing will be located on both the north and south side of the future Collin County Outer Loop.

Collin County is currently in the design/right-of-way acquisition phase for the southerly, future east bound CCOL service road from DNT east to State Highway 289.

The Cambridge Companies have approached us about extending this service road west of DNT for approximately 2000 feet to Huddleston Drive, which is the first intersecting cross street west of DNT being constructed as part of their development.

They propose to design and construct this section of service road to County standards at their expense. Additionally, they have agreed to have their contractor provide a five (5) year maintenance bond.

If approved, Commissioners Court’s execution of the attached “Agreement Concerning Construction of Outer Loop” is requested

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding the approval of Agreement between Tollway/Outer Loop, L.P. and Collin County for the design and construction of the future eastbound service road for the Outer Loop from Huddleston Parkway to the existing northbound lanes of the Dallas North Tollway. Further authorize the County Judge to execute the agreement. MD

Design and construction expenses will be at Tollway/Outer, L.P. expense and they will provide a five (5) year maintenance bond.
