Department Action

This notice is to Commissioners’ Court for the purchase of a 15-passenger van and landscape trailer for the SCORE Program. These items will be purchased through commissary funds under Texas Local Government Code 351.0415.

Per Equipment Services, the estimated purchase price for the 15-passenger van is $33,522 and $4,811.75 for the landscape trailer. These items will be added to the Collin County fleet. The estimated first year cost for maintenance is $1,000 for the van and $300 for the trailer. The estimated first year cost for fuel is $2,500. Maintenance costs will be charged to Equipment Services’ Shared account: 001-4409-600-6101 for fuel and 001-4409-600-7562 for maintenance.

Make-Ready for the van will be paid for through commissary funds under Texas Local Government Code 351.0415. It is approximately $1,295 and includes the following:

Radio Install - $125.00
Flashlight Charger Install - $5.00
Decal Design Modification Cost - $150.00
Decal Furnish & Install - $455.00
Flashlight Purchase Cost - $120.00
Palm Held Radio Control Head (OEM Console) - $400.00
Magnetic Mic - $40.00

If any further equipment is needed, funds will be available through commissary.

Purchasing Department Action

No action by Purchasing. These items are being purchased utilizing commissary funds under Texas Local Government Code 351.0415 of which Sheriff has discretion.

Notification for the purchase a van, trailer, equipment and the make ready for the SCORE program using Commissary Fund in the amount of $47,329. The Sheriff is requesting to utilize General Funds in the recurring annual amount of approximately $2,500 for fuel and $1,300 for maintenance of this vehicle.
