Department Action
Judge Shaffer and I are requesting approval for two laptops to be purchased for Court Administrators Shannon Williams and Darla Boone. The other JP Court Administrators already have one.

I am also requesting that the 5 JP Court Administrators have jabber installed on their laptops.

The JP Court Administrators meet quarterly. There are times that meeting in person is not convenient. The laptops will allow them to meet by video conference and share ideas and train each other on topics as they arise. It is also important to have laptops in the office if there is ever an electricity outage. The office could still function if these were available.

The funding for this will be out of our Court Technology Fund not actual tax dollars.

The amount for each laptop is $3101.00, totaling $6202.00.

Recommending 2 standard County issued mobile computers.  IT already has 5 Jabber licenses that can be installed on 5 of the JP Court Admin computers.
Budget Department Action
Funds available in the JP Court Technology Fund (1028) for Budget Amendments totaling $6,202 for the purchase of two laptops (one for the JP-1 Court Administrator, and one for the JP-2 Court Administrator).
Auditor's Office Action
Funds available in the Justice Court Technology Fund. Budget amendment will be processed upon approval.
