Department Action

Requesting approval to extend the grant contract with The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) and Collin County for the Texas Statewide Automated Victim Notification Service (SAVNS). The new contract period is from September 1, 2017 to August 31, 2019. There is no additional cost for the extension period. Contract total is $28,546.78. The purpose of the OAG/SAVNS grant program is to maintain Texas counties in a statewide system that will provide relevant offender release information, notification of relevant court settings or events, promote public safety and support the rights of victims of crime. The original OAG contract was approved on court order #2018-165-026-26.

The OAG will pay Appriss, Inc. directly for expenses related to services delivered to Collin County by the vendor to provide certain SAVNS services to Collin County.

Budget Department Action

New extended period grant term with the OAG and Collin County for the Texas Statewide Automated Victim Notification Services (SAVNS) is 9/1/2017-8/31/2019. Grant funding in the amount of $28,546.78. Grant funds are paid directly from the State to the vendor. No County match required; there is no cost to the county; there is no additional cost for the extension period.

Auditor's Office Action

No cost extension has been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. New grant period is 9/1/2017 through 8/31/2019. There is no additional cost being added to the contract with this extension.
