Department Action

I am requesting that the 3rd Legal Clerk position that was approved for magistration be a Legal Clerk II. There will be three employees at another building without direct supervision. I need one position to have some supervision responsibilities. That would be a pay grade 532. I will need an additional $3570.00 added to the FY2019 budget for this position to become a Legal Clerk II

Supervisory duties include conducting performance evaluations, administering disciplinary actions, or assigning/directing the work of others. Legal Clerk II is not a supervisory position. It is a higher level clerk intended to handle more complex duties, but not supervisory.

Budget Department Action

One (1) additional "Legal Clerk I" position was included in the Court Recommended FY 2019 budget; this request is to change that recommended position to a higher pay grade position (532): "Legal Clerk II". The impact to the Court Recommended FY 2019 budget will be $3,570.00 if this agenda item is approved by Commissioners Court.
