Department Action

The Information Technology department is requesting Commissioner Court to authorize re-enrollment in the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement program. The agreement is for a three-year term, paid annually, and covers the first year of the agreement. The agreement covers the Microsoft software used in the county to support desktop productivity and server systems.

The Information Technology department is requesting renewal award to SHI for the following reasons:
• SHI has a proven track record of accurately managing the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement program and has a history of correcting errors introduced by previous contract managers
• The cost difference between the two quotes is less than .5%
• The cost difference is further reduced to less the .05% if the past three years of license additions are taken into consideration

The FY19 renewal is budgeted as part of the non-departmental budget request. In order to continue participation in the Microsoft EA program, Microsoft must have a purchase order prior to the end of our current agreement on October 31, 2018.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners' Court consideration and any action regarding approval of award of Contract 2019-45, Software, Microsoft EA to SHI Government Solutions, Inc. for the period December 1, 2018 through November 30, 2021 per DIR contract DIR-TSO-4092, further authorize Purchasing Agent to execute same. sh
