I will need to transfer $6589.00 from the Justice Court Technology Shared Fund to the JP1 Fund. The funds will be to purchase electronics for the Magistration and JP1 Office Clerks and the Auxiliary B Courtroom.
You may or may not know, I use the Aux B courtroom for hearings that require the appearance of inmates [better security in that location and easier for sheriff to transport]. Some of those hearings are examining trials, bond condition violations and emergency protective order modifications and sometimes pleas. I need some electronic access from that courtroom. The other equipment will go to the jail to equip the magistration staff who process my daily jail duties.
The scanners in the office are 10 years old and going out one at a time. Since it has been a long process to get the quotes and get them purchased, I would like to order 3 additional scanners to be prepared if another one stops working. The work delay it causes when one goes out does not benefit the office workflow.
