Department Action

The Collin County Sheriff’s Office respectfully requests Commissioner’s Court approval of funds set aside for OT reimbursement regarding the U.S. Marshals Task Force MOU. The amount has decreased from $18,000 to $12,000. The intent of the joint effort is to investigate and apprehend local, state and federal fugitives who have warrants for their arrests, thereby improving public safety and reducing violent crime.

US Marshals Service – Violent Offender Task Force Federal Grant funds to be reimbursed in the amount of $12,000 to be used for overtime related to the investigations and capture of local state and federal fugitives who have warrants for arrests. No county match required.

Grant agreement reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. Federal funds in the amount of $12,000 for overtime of Sheriff’s Office deputies. No county match is required. Intent of this joint MOU is to investigate and apprehend local, state and federal fugitives who have warrants for their arrests, thereby improving public safety and reducing violent crime.
