Department Action

The Engineering Department requests that the contract with D.D.M. Construction Corporation be increased to allow for additional concrete placement.

Collin County currently has a contract with DDM for the construction of concrete drives and parking areas at Myers Park. The work being performed upgrades existing rock and asphalt surfaces to concrete.

The existing concrete drive/fire lane along the north side of The Landing is in poor condition. (see attached photo) This section of concrete abuts one of the asphalt parking areas that has been replaced with concrete by DDM.

We recommend replacing this additional section of drive/fire lane (see attached) under our current contract with DDM. The additional work would result in an increase of $41,958.46.

Commissioners Court’s approval is requested and we will be available to answer any questions you might have regarding this matter.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners' Court consideration and any action regarding approval of Change Order No. 1 to the contract with DDM Construction Corporation, IFB 2018-336, Construction, Myers Park Roadway Improvements, to allow for the removal and replacement of damaged concrete pavement on the north side of The Landing for the amount of $41,958.46. Further authorize the Purchase Agent to execute same. MD
