Department Action

The Collin County Information Technology department requests approval of funding to support replacement of all current Constable body-cam hardware and software with WatchGuard body-cams based on the recent WatchGuard contract entered into with the County in December, 2018 for all Sheriff’s Office in-car video and body-cams. We are also seeking to replace two Fire Marshal L3 in-car cameras with two WatchGuard body-cams. Information Technology requests these items to align all County issued body-cams to be standard units provided by a one vendor source. Funding for this hardware upgrade will be from Project TI03JUS.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners' Court approval of contract 2019-139 for Body Cameras and Evidence Library for Constable and Fire Marshal with Watchguard, Inc. through DIR contract DIR-TSO-3371 and and authorize Purchasing Agent to execute agreements. sh

Watchguard, Inc. is the standard for body cameras per Court Order No. 2019-343-05-07.
