Budget Department Action

This is a Cost Reimbursement Grant for the 2020-2021 Veterans Treatment Court Grant in the amount of $500,000 in state funds with no county match required. There is no required match, but County will be expected to share in the operational costs for funded projects. Funding will cover four positions, bailiff and court reporter expenses, travel, supplies and client services. The grant period is July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021.

Auditor's Office Action

Grant application has been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. Funding for the North Texas Regional Veterans Court including four positions, consumable office supplies, travel, reserve bailiff expenses and court reporter expenses in rural counties. Additionally, grant monies will be used for counseling / treatment, alcohol abstinence monitoring, and / or basic living expenses such as transportation, and emergency living, educational, or employment assistance that may interfere with program participation and success. State funds in the amount of $500,000 with no county match required. Grant period is 7/1/2020-6/30/2021.
