Department Action

The Collin County Sheriff’s Office is respectfully requesting that two vehicles obtained under the State’s forfeiture statutes be included in the County’s vehicle fleet to be used for investigative purposes.

Purchasing Department Action

No action by Purchasing.

HR and/or IT Action

Public Works Comments - Equipment Services will perform regular scheduled/minor maintenance on these vehicles. Should any costly repairs arise, Equipment Services would remove the vehicles from service. These vehicles will not be considered for replacement under the annual replacement schedule.

Budget Department Action

Request to add two vehicles that were obtained under the State Forfeiture Statutes to be included in the Sheriff's Office fleet for investigative purposes. Maintenance for the remainder of FY 2020 as well as make ready to be paid from the Federal Sheriff's Office Justice Forfeiture Fund (1065) in the amount of $11,232. Budget Amendment is attached. Future maintnenance cost as well as fuel to come from Equipment Services. Vehicle will not be added to the Fleet Replacement Schedule.

Auditor's Office Action

Funds available in the Sheriff's Federal Justice Forfeiture Fund.
