Request Commissioners' Court consideration and approval of the following: 

To reduce the spread of Infectious Disease I have been tasked with reviewing two types of projects.  At this time I can complete all of the following projects by December 30, 2020.  If at any time I receive information that reveals a project cannot be completed by December 30, 2020, that project will not move into construction.  The types of projects are as follows:

  1.  Changing areas of Adult Detention Infirmary and Healthcare in McKinney, and Plano to negative pressure rooms.  This will allow patients with any Infectious Disease to be isolated in a room where the return air is not recirculated back through the air handler to other areas of the building.  Adult Detention currently has four such Isolation rooms.  This request will add an additional 20 rooms to the inventory.  $150,000.00
  2. Adding glass to our public transaction counters that do not already have glass.  This is designed to be a permanent replacement for the Plexiglas that was installed recently by Facilities.  The following locations are submitted for your approval.  $200,000.00

·         Law Library Transaction Counter

·         Courthouse Security Desk at the Entrance Vestibule

·         Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 Transaction Counter

·         County Clerk Land Office Transaction Counter

·         Second Floor Security Desk – Administration Building

·         Fire Safety and Development Services Transaction Counter

·         Juvenile Probation McKinney Transaction Counter

·         Animal Shelter Transaction Counter

·         Ag Extension Office replace two sliding glass Transaction Windows

·         Elections Transaction Counter

·         Public Works replace sliding glass with a Transaction Window

·         Juvenile Probation Plano replace sliding glass with a Transaction Window

·         County Clerk Plano Transaction Counter

·         Justice of the Peace Precincts 3-1 and 3-2 Transaction Counters

 

Any of the projects mentioned above can be removed from consideration individually at Court’s request.
