Department Action

Attached for approval is the application for federal funds from the Texas Department of State Health
Services (DSHS). The grant is designated for the provision of tuberculosis (TB) prevention and control
efforts in our county. DSHS recently issued a letter indicating the county’s opportunity to renew its
current TB Federal contract in the amount of $114,386. The renewal contract period begins on 1/1/2021
and extends through 12/31/2021.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Health Care Foundation approval to apply for the Tuberculosis (TB) grant from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and authorize Board President to execute same. sh

Budget Department Action

FY 2021 DSHS Federal Grant for TB Prevention and Control in the amount of $114,386 with an in kind match of $22,877 to be met with existing employee salaries and benefits. Grant includes personnel, training and travel, supplies, contract services with Prima Care, language line, patient transport and wireless service. Grant term is January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021.

Auditor's Office Action

Grant application has been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. Federal grant funding for the TB program in the amount of $114,386 with a county match of $22,877 required. County match can be in-kind. Grant period is 1/1/2021 through 12/31/2021.
