Request Commissioners' Court consideration and approval of the annexation of Lavon Justice of the Peace building and property into the City of Lavon.
As progress on the Lavon Justice of the Peace/ Constable building moves forward, we are required to annex into the City of Lavon to obtain their sanitary sewer services. The City of Lavon is the only sanitary sewer utility in the area that is accessible to the property. The County is building the building under Collin County permitting guidelines. During the permit review process we submitted plans to, and received approval from, the City of Lavon to attach to the City owned sanitary system. At this time, I request approval for Judge Hill to sign the Petition for Annexation to begin the process. My current understanding is that Annexation will take approximately two months.
