The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) is applying for Cooperating Technical Partner Fiscal Year 2021 grant funds for a flood risk identification study in the East Fork Trinity Watershed. See attached flood study limits, titled “Drainage Exhibit Map”. The study will include the reaches depicted in Option 2 which includes both the 8.5 miles of the East Fork Trinity River and 10 miles of the tributaries to the east of the main channel.

This partnership provides for 75% matching funds from FEMA with 25% coming from the local government. The County’s participation would be $37,565. The town of Lowry Crossing is also participating in the study. (Lowry Crossing Commitment letter attached)

The NCTCOG has asked that we send a letter of support to attach to the Grant application to FEMA. That letter is attached to the agenda item which includes a funding schedule on page 2.
