Department Action

In accordance with Local Government Code Sec. 351.0415(c), we are respectfully requesting approval to use the Collin County Sheriff’s Office Fund 734 – Inmate Commissary Account Number 700020134 for the following purposes.

Life safety equipment purchase of (350) Raptor style trauma shears for all detention officers and a limited replacement stockpile. The cost of the shears with a belt case runs from $30.00 - $90.00 per pair. A pair that is of sufficient quality and durability for use within the Detention Facility is priced on Amazon at $34.99 per pair (plus shipping/handling & taxes, if applicable) for an estimated cost of $12,246.50. Due to potential price differences between suppliers, we are requesting approval for up to $12,500.00.

Total requesting to disperse from the Collin County Sheriff’s Office, Fund 734 – Inmate Commissary Account Number 700020134 is estimated to be $12,246.50 and shall not exceed $12,500.00.
