Department Action

In FY2011, the HHSC and my office signed an Agreement with Local Prosecuting Authority
("Agreement") with the approval of the County Judge, for my office to partner with HHSC in fraud
investigations involving government assistance programs, such as SNAP, CHIP, WIC, and TANF. The
Agreement provided for the HHSC to conduct the investigations and for my office to handle the
prosecutions in appropriate cases.

The HHSC has sent a new agreement called an " Inte rlocal Cooperation Contract" which has the same
purpose as the former Agreement, but with updated language and forms. I have signed the Interlocal
Cooperation Contract and request that the County Judge sign it as well.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners' Court consideration and any action regarding approval of the agreement with Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to establish a partnership for fraud investigation involving government assistance programs, and further authorize the County Judge to finalize and execute same. gz

Budget Department Action

No fiscal impact or county match required for this agreement with HHSC. All payments will be received by Collin County upon a criminal court disposition in accordance with the agreement.
