Department Action

Collin County is in the process of designing and acquiring right-of-way for the extension of Park Boulevard between F.M. Highway 2514 (Parker Road) and State Highway 78.

The roadway alignment crosses NTMWD’s main treatment facility tract in Wylie. As such, there are multiple water transmission pipelines that will be impacted by the project.

NTMWD desires to hire a Professional Engineer to review our project design plans, insuring those plans and the proposed construction will not adversely impact their existing lines. They would also like to hire a Certified Pipeline Inspector to oversee our construction activities near their existing pipelines and infrastructure.

Accordingly, they have prepared and executed the attached ILA to address site access, inspections and design standards. They have asked us to be responsible for legal costs associated with preparing this ILA along with their design review and construction inspection fees. The total estimated not to exceed amount for these services is $28,150
as itemized on Page 3, Section D, of the ILA.

If approved, Judge Hill’s authorization to execute the attached ILA is requested and we will be available to answer any questions you might have regarding this matter.

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval of an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Collin County and the North Texas Municipal Water District concerning construction of Park Boulevard Construction. Further, authorize the County Judge to execute same. MD
