Department Action

CCSO respectfully requests approval to apply for the FY 2021 UASI DVE Grant, in the amount of $64,808.91. This will fund two Fusion Center Research Analysts for 12 months. Performance period for this grant is from October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022.
The difference of UASI Domestic Violent Extremism (DVE) Grant, is the fusion process proactively seeks to identify threats posed by terrorists – this includes domestic violent extremists – and stops them before they occur. This project will partially fund two Intelligence Analysts to perform data mining activities, reporting and monitoring specifically associated with combating domestic violent extremism.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners Court consideration and approval to apply for the FY2021 UASI DVE Grant from the Office of the Governor, Homeland Security Grants Division and authorize County Judge to execute attached resolution. sh

FY 2021 UASI Fusion Analysts DVE Grant in the amount of $64,808.91 in federal funds with no county match required. Funding will cover a portion of 2 existing Research Analysts salary and benefits. Grant period is October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022.

Auditor's Office Action

Grant application has been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. Grant is to fund a portion of the salary and benefits for two Fusion Center Analysts for 12 months. Federal funds in the amount of $64,808.91 with no county match required. Grant period is from 10/1/2021-9/30/2022. This grant only funds a portion of the salary and fringe for these 2 positions. There is another grant application to fund the remainder of the salary and fringe for the 2 positions.
