This is to request Commissioner's Court acceptance for the FY 2022 Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) contract with the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS).

The FY 2022 award is being distributed as an amendment to the exisitng grant contrct (537-18-0141-00001). The amendment will extend the current contract through June 30, 2022 and provide an additional $133,431 for the upcoming contract year, which is level funding.  A 10% match in the amount of $13,343 is required for all funds spent, and we expect to meet that requirement through in-kind support from existing Collin County stafff and MRC volunteer hours.

The purpose of the CRI grant is to enhance preparedeness efforts in our county and improve our ability to respond to public health emergencies, especially those requring life-saving medication and/or medical supplies.  Program funds will be used toward existing CRI personnel costs as well as purchasing related program supplies.
