Department Action

This is to request Commissioners’ Court approval for the Open Point of Dispensing (POD) Interlocal Agreement with Frisco Independent School District (ISD). During a public health emergency, our department may need to dispense medications to the entire county population within a very short time. To do this, we will direct residents to public POD sites located throughout the community. These public locations will be highly stressed, serving nearly 1 million persons within 36-48 hours.

Frisco ISD is willing to provide its facilities to serve as one of our Open PODs by entering into an ILA with Collin County. All equipment, prophylaxis, medical personnel, and/or any other supplies necessary to administer the vaccine, medication, or treatment will be supplied by Collin County. Frisco ISD will allow the use of, and access to, its pre-designated facilities and all utilities and equipment normally associated with its use as school facilities.
