Department Action

Attached for approval is an additional contract funding revision letter for FY 2021 with Health and Human Services (HHSC) for Women, Infant and Children (WIC) to provide supplemental food benefits, nutrition education and counseling. The program is meant to enhance good health care at no cost to low-income pregnant and postpartum women, infants and children, identified to be at nutritional risk. The WIC services are 100% funded by HHSC.
The revised funding is an addition of $36,964 for contract term 10/1/2020 thru 09/30/2021, bringing the total amount of the FY 21 contract to $1,607,400.00
I respectfully request approval of the attached WIC contract # HHS000801700001 with Health and Human Services.
