Department Action

The Engineering Department requests that the contract with Mario Sinacola & Sons Excavating, Inc. be adjusted to allow for additional improvements to Outer Loop.

These improvements are the work required due to the City of Celina making modifications to their water and sanitary sewer facilities after the Outer Loop project was bid on. The adjustments are necessary to accommodate the Outer Loop construction. This work is proposed to be added to this project to facilitate and expedite the repairs.

Change Order No. 1 results in a net contract increase of $33,146.46. The new total of the contract will be $13,096,218.31.

Recommended Action: It is recommended that the Commissioners Court approve Change Order No. 1, increasing the Outer Loop contract by $33,146.46, for a total of $13,096,218.31.

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval of Change Order No. 1 to the contract with Mario Sinacola & Sons Excavating, Inc., IFB 2020-258, Construction, Road, Collin County Outer Loop from East of SH 289 to FM 2478, for fire hydrant adjustments and to adjust manhole covers to meet grade due to City of Celina modifications to their water and sanitary sewer facilities after the Outer Loop project was bid for the amount of $33,146.46 and a new contract total of $13,096,218.31. Further, authorize the Purchasing Agent to execute same. MD
