Department Action

Respectfully requesting the approval to accept funds through the Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) totaling $17,121 in funding with no county match required. The performance period for the 2021 JAG Grant is October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2024.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action to (1) accept the Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) FY21 from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG); (2) approve the Interlocal Agreement between City of Plano, McKinney, Frisco, and Collin County Sheriff's Office for the disbursement of the grant award; and (3) authorize County Judge to execute same, attached as Exhibit "A". gz

Budget Department Action

JAG 2021 Edward Byrne Memorial Grant in the amount of $17,121 in federal funding for the purchase of equipment for the Sheriff’s Office Negotiation Teams. No county match is required. County will be responsible for maintaining equipment. Grant term is October 1, 2020 through September 30, 2024.

Auditor's Office Action

Grant award has been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. This funding will be used to purchase equipment for Collin County Sheriff's Office negotiation teams. This equipment will include rescue/crisis response telephone, rescue phone video command system, refurbished cellular command system, and a battle board organizer with shipping costs and other consumable items related to the above equipment. $17,121 in federal funds with no county match required. Grant period is October 1, 2020 through September 30, 2024.
