Department Action

Attached for approval is a contract a letter amendment with Health and Human Services (HHSC) for Women, Infant and Children (WIC) to provide supplemental food benefits, nutrition education and counseling. The program is meant to enhance good health care at no cost to low-income pregnant and postpartum women, infants and children, identified to be at nutritional risk. The WIC services are 100% funded by HHSC.

The amendment is for technical updates including a new DUNS number and clarification for the listing number for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program funding received as part of our WIC contract.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval to amend Contract (HHS000801700001) with the Texas Department of Health and Human Services (HHSC) to provide supplemental food benefits, nutrition education and counseling, and authorize Board President to execute same. gz
