Department Action

Attached is the FY 2021-2023 application for acceptance for DSHS COVID-19 Health Disparities funds for a grant period that will begin upon contract execution through May 31, 2023. The Centers for Diease Control and Prevention (CDC) awarded Texas funding to support local health departments' coordination efforts with local stakeholders to identify barriers to accessing existing public health resources by communities disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. Total funds for this grant are $500,000.00. No match is required from the county for this contract.

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval to accept the COVID-19 Health Disparities Grant Award (HHS001057600012), through the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and authorize County Judge to execute same. gz
