I have copied Sara and please contact her to update her on the circumstances that require an extension. Thank you for working so hard on this important project. Kelley From: anita_miller [mailto:anita_miller@earthlink.net] Sent: Sunday, June 21, 2009 6:42 PM To: Kelley Stone Cc: james_r_johnson@earthlink.net Subject: Apptek Installation Status and Two Questions The Apptek software was delivered to ADB last week and loaded on the Collin County RAID. There are two things to note: · We were unable to complete final installation because Apptek’s software currently runs on a Linux operating system rather than the Windows operating system that the fusion system uses. Apptek will have their software ported to the Windows operating system by the end of July. In order to complete the final installation now, a Linux server would need to be added to the fusion system. As you recall, IT wanted the servers to run Windows and only approved one Linux server as the front-end proxy server. · We recommend waiting until early August to finish the installation because Apptek will have their Windows version ready then and since the English transcription training won’t be completed before then anyway. Are you okay with that plan? We checked our $5000 purchase order for installing the transcription software and found that it was supposed to be done by 2/28/2009. I believe that Apptek’s contract goes through November or December. What we would like to do is finish the installation in August then invoice the $245 we’ve been saving for the final installation. Can you see if Sara Hoglund can extend the due date or would you like me to talk to her?
