From: Leslie Harper Sent: Monday, July 18, 2011 3:28 PM To: Dan James; Randy Clark; Lloyd Rollins; Jimmy Moody Cc: Brenda Turner; Mike Mosier; Michalyn Rains Subject: Janitorial supplies evaluations Hi, Two of the Janitorial Suppliers vendors indicated they need a price redetermination in order to extend their contracts with Collin County. In order to assure that we are still receiving the best possible value, I canvassed our current suppliers for the cost of these commodities. Based on these prices, I recommend we continue to order our Toilet Tissue and Jumbo Roll Towels from Empire Paper, accepting the price increases of 7% and 8%. For the vinyl gloves, I recommend we delete that bid item from Pyramid School Products, and award it to American Health and Safety instead. The comparison spreadsheets are attached, and I do have samples of American Health and Safety’s vinyl gloves, if you would like to try them out. Please let me know by July 20th if you agree with these recommendations, and I’ll prepare the change orders accordingly. Best Regards, Leslie Harper, CPPB Collin County Purchasing Department (972) 548-4122
