In 2008, Collin County initiated a project to develop a Storm Water Management Program (SWMP) to comply with Federal and State regulations. With the help of our consultant, Jacobs Engineering, the engineering department developed a SWMP that consists of a series of Best Management Practices (BMPs), measurable goals and an implementation schedule. We submitted the SWMP and NOI (Notice of Intent) to TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality) on February 11, 2008 and expired on August 13, 2012.
In June 2014, we submitted our Program Renewal to TCEQ which extended our permit for another 5 years. This permit will expire on December 13, 2018. Each year we prepare a report for the TCEQ that details the previous year’s activities. This 2016 report is being presented to you for your review and approval.
ACTION:
Approval of the 2016 Storm Water Management Program Report and allow Judge Self to sign the supporting documentation for submittal to TCEQ.
I will be available for questions.
