I am requesting Commissioners Court approval to apply for the FY 2025 General Victim Assistance Grant from the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, which funds the salary and benefits of a full-time Victim Assistance Coordinator. This Victim Assistance Coordinator grant position was initially adopted in the FY 2016 budget and is currently funding a Victim Assistance Coordinator position in my office. The one-year federal funding is for $69,852, with a 20% match which will be funded by the District Attorney Apportionment Special Revenue Fund (Fund 1057). The grant period is October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025.

Grant to be used to fund the salary and benefits for a full time District Attorney’s Crime Victim Assistance Coordinator position for one year. Grant period is October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025. No county funds will be budgeted for this position.
