Department Action
The Engineering Department requests Commissioners Court’s authorization to award a contract in the amount of $1,290,060.20 to D.D.M. Construction Corporation for construction of concrete drive and parking areas at Myers Park.
D.D.M. is the lowest qualified bidder based on our engineer’s evaluation of the bids, contractor qualifications and references.
It is anticipated that construction will begin in January with substantial completion by July 2019.
The following budget adjustment is necessary to establish the budget:
Note: The budget adjustment also includes the quoted amount for the materials testing required on construction projects, which totals $27,170 for this item. Grand total for budget adjustment, $1,317,231.

Request Commissioner's Court consideration and any action regarding approval to award IFB 2018-336, Construction, Myers Park Roadway Improvements, to DDM Construction Corporation, the lowest and best bidder. Further authorize the Purchasing agent to finalize the construction agreement. MD

Budgeted funds available for the award of IFB 2018-336, Construction, Myers Park Roadway Improvements in the Open Space Bond Funds (4010, 4011 and 4014). Budget Amendment in the amount of $1,317,231 is attached to move the funding needed into the project.
