Collin County's current contract with Brinks for armored car services will end effective 9/30/2021 or upon 30 days’ notice to terminate the agreement. The Fire Marshall’s office will take over the cash management duties currently handled by Brink’s. To handle these additional responsibilities, the Fire Marshall’s office is requesting a reclassification of an existing position, Assistant Emergency Management Specialist (00300409) in pay grade 514, to a Deputy Fire Marshall position in 557. The Deputy Fire Marshall position will be a licensed TCOLE peace officer that can assist with cash management duties, inspections, and fire emergencies. If approved, the reclassification would be effective Monday, July 12, 2021.
